Aylmer Novice LL1 Wins Christmas Cup Tournament
The Aylmer Novice LL1 team are this year's Christmas Cup Champions.  The Aylmer team played three great hockey games to capture the Cup and finish 2015 on a high note.

Game 1 Aylmer faced Mount Brydges Gold.  Aylmer came out strong netting 3 goals in the first period.  Goals were scored by Carter Deutsch with 2 and Gavin Russell and Colin Holmes each with one.  Assists went to Gavin Russell (2) and Thomas Dance.  Aylmer continued to control the game and managed to score one more goal in the second period by Colin Holmes assisted by Thomas Dance.  Aylmer won the game by a score of 4-0.  Carter Deutsch was named player of the game.

Game 2 Aylmer played East Lambton and came away with a 7-1 win.  Goals were scored by Colin Holmes (3), Gain Russell (2), Carter Deutsch and Matthew Worrell.  Assists went to Gavin Russell (2) Braylon Jacques, Tyler Vis, Thomas Dance and Matthew Worrell.  Aylmer player of the game was Noah Sleegers.

The two wins and strong period play gave Aylmer 23 out of 24 possible points in the round robin which put Aylmer in the Championship game again Dorchestor.  Aylmer came out strong with Thomas Dance scoring the first goal 16 seconds into the game assisted by Colin Holmes.  Aylmer continued to push and scored 4 more goals in the first period to take a 6-0 lead.  Aylmer scored 2 more goals in the second period to extend their lead to 7-0.  Goals were scored by Colin Holmes (3), Carter Deutsch (2) and Gavin Russell.  Assists went to Gavin Russell (2), Thomas Dance and Matthew Worrell.  Dorchester managed to score one goal in the third period but it was not enough and Aylmer won the Championship game 7-1.  Colin Holmes was the player of the game for Aylmer.  The entire team played excellent.  The defense core consisting of Braylon Jacques, Tyler Vis, Cory Brubacher and Matthew Worrell did a great job of breaking up plays and limiting the number of shot against and Noah Sleegers (tournament GAA of 0.67) was there when needed shutting the door.  The team finished with 2 goals against and 18 goals for.  Great job Flames!!
