Aylmer Battles to Tie in Game 2 of Playoffs
Aylmer hosted Point Edward in game 2 of their LMLL playoff series. With Aylmer taking the first game in Point Edward the visitors were sure to come out strong and they did, scoring 41 seconds into the first frame. The first period would remain tight with both teams having chances but not able to put it past either goal tender until 2:53 when Aylmer's Carter Deutsch was able to pickup a rebound off a Gavin Russell shot and slide it past Point Edward's goalie. Assist credited to Gavin Russell.
The second period would continue to be much of the same with each team having good scoring chances but not able score. Point Edward would be the first to tally in third but Aylmer would pull even 2 minutes later on a goal by Gavin Russell assisted by Kenz Steele. The game would end in a draw with each team collecting a point. Aylmer currently leads the 6 point series 3 points to one. The next game is Saturday, February 20 in Point Edward.
