New Requirements for Bench Staff for Upcoming Season
Hello AMHA Families

The Ontario Hockey Federation (OHF) has released updated bench staff requirements for ALL bench staff members, volunteers, on ice helpers, etc for the upcoming season. All individuals are required to submit approved vulnerable sector checks and declarations to a third party for approval PRIOR TO being added to a roster and therefore PRIOR TO being on a bench for any games during the 2024/2025 season and beyond.

Detailed instructions are posted on the AMHA website under the coaching tab. VSC's take on average 3-4 weeks to get approved. This is something you will wish to start early (ie. now) if you are looking help in any way on an AMHA hockey team in September.

Tim Hortons
The Timbits Minor Sports Program is a community-oriented sponsorship program for children four to eight years old who participate in local house league sports teams. The program's philosophy is not based on winning or losing - but on learning a new sport, making new friends, and just taking time out to be a kid. Tim Hortons currently sponsors over 200,000 children who play on hockey, soccer, lacrosse, t-ball, baseball and ringette teams across Canada and in the United States. Each sponsored team is supplied with Timbits Minor Sports jerseys or T-shirts. Timbits hockey teams are often given the opportunity to play on-ice scrimmages during intermissions at Junior, American Hockey League (AHL) and National Hockey League (NHL) games.
