Aylmer Wins Over Strathroy Red in First Season 2 Game
The Aylmer Novice LL1 team opened Season 2 with a bang taking down the Strathroy Red team 7-3 at the Gemini Sports Complex in Strathroy on Sunday, November 15.

The Aylmer team ran the play for large parts of game due to a fierce forecheck in the offensive zone and relentless backchecking to keep a few of the large and fast Strathroy players off the game sheet.  The Aylmer team out worked their opponent and it showed on the score clock.  The score would have been much higher if not for the strong play of the Strathroy goaltender.

Scoring for Aylmer was Carter Deutsch with 2 goals and 1 assist and Colin Holmes with 2 goals. Gavin Russell and Matt Worrall each picked up a goal and an assist and Thomas Dance also picked up a single.  Assists went to Cam Vermeer with 2 and Kenzie Steele with 1.  The defense played particularily strong, continually frustrating the Strathroy offense.  Braylon Jacques had a strong game after coming back from an extended upper body injury.

Aylmer's next game is Sunday, November 22 against Point Edward which will likely be Aylmer's toughest opponent to date.  Curfew is in effect for all players on Saturday, November 21...coaches exempt.
