Anti - Mask Rally planned for Sat at EECC
The AMHA board, like many of you, became aware this afternoon that the same group that held a rally last weekend at the Aylmer Bandshell, is planning on gathering at the EECC next Saturday.

Immediately, upon learning about this group's plans, the board contacted the Town of Aylmer and the EECC. We stressed that our members who have ice times around the same time as the planned gathering, should be assured that they will remain safe, and that there is zero risk of getting caught up in middle of it.

Though details are a bit sparse, it appears this group plans to meet, and then parade down highway three to the down town area.

The town and complex have assured us, that they are in the process of determining the next steps to address the group. At this time, the town's plans have not been released, but we have been assured, that by mid week we should have some direction.

I am hopeful that we will not have to cancel any ice times, however that could be a possibility.

Please stay tuned for more details.

The Timbits Minor Sports Program is a community-oriented sponsorship program for children four to eight years old who participate in local house league sports teams. The program's philosophy is not based on winning or losing - but on learning a new sport, making new friends, and just taking time out to be a kid. Tim Hortons currently sponsors over 200,000 children who play on hockey, soccer, lacrosse, t-ball, baseball and ringette teams across Canada and in the United States. Each sponsored team is supplied with Timbits Minor Sports jerseys or T-shirts. Timbits hockey teams are often given the opportunity to play on-ice scrimmages during intermissions at Junior, American Hockey League (AHL) and National Hockey League (NHL) games.
