Congrats to our Rep teams for having great success this weekend
This weekend has been jam packed with lots of hockey for our rep teams.

The U11 Rep team travelled to Barrie this weekend after qualifying for the OMHA Provincial Championship. The team went 1 win and 2 ties in the round robin, won their quarter final match and advanced to the semi finals. They came up against a very good Walkerton team losing their semi. The team should be very proud of their accomplishments this year.

The U15 Rep team played in our Year End Tournament this weekend. The team had a good round robin advancing to the semi finals, eventually losing to Parry Sound. A good season ending result for the U15's.

The U13 rep team also had a successful Year End Tournament. The team advanced to the semi finals playing Mitchell. The team came away with a 5-2 win, advancing to the championship game against Elmvale. In spite a good effort, the team took home the finalist trophy losing 2-0. It was another good tournament for the U13's.

Finally, the U9 reps topped off a very successful season with a good run in the Year End Tournament. The team qualified for semi finals with 2 wins and 1 loss in the round robin. The team beat undefeated Port Stanley in the semi finals with a close 3-2 win. In the finals the team loss a closely contested game with Walkerton 1-0. Another great season end for the our U9 reps.

The AMHA board has seen something special over the past few years. With a greater emphasis on giving our kids extra development opportunities, we've seen our organization record improve drastically. Even on a shortened season, the organization record this year was 144 wins, 79 losses, and 39 ties. Our local league teams have also been very successful this season, with all teams winning their playoff series.

I can't help but to think that the passion for the game of hockey is once again burning in our community. It feels very much like when I was an Aylmer Flame competing for this town. We are very proud of all our teams and appreciate the support from our families.

Tim Hortons
The Timbits Minor Sports Program is a community-oriented sponsorship program for children four to eight years old who participate in local house league sports teams. The program's philosophy is not based on winning or losing - but on learning a new sport, making new friends, and just taking time out to be a kid. Tim Hortons currently sponsors over 200,000 children who play on hockey, soccer, lacrosse, t-ball, baseball and ringette teams across Canada and in the United States. Each sponsored team is supplied with Timbits Minor Sports jerseys or T-shirts. Timbits hockey teams are often given the opportunity to play on-ice scrimmages during intermissions at Junior, American Hockey League (AHL) and National Hockey League (NHL) games.
