OMHA TIER 2 CHAMPIONS!!!
Congratulations to the U11 Representative Team for winning the Tier 2 OMHA Championship over the weekend.

The U11 Rep team travelled to Barrie this past weekend and came home OMHA Tier 2 Champions. The team went 3-0 in the round robin portion of the tournament. On Friday morning they started by beating in come back fashion Ilderton 3-2 in Game 1, dominating Clearview 9-2 in Game 2 and played well defensively in the 3-0 win over Minto. In the quarter finals the team defeated Wallaceburg 6-1 rounding out the day Saturday.

In the Semifinals on Sunday morning bright and early at 8 am the team needed overtime to defeat the AEMHA Ice Dogs 1-0. The team defeated a very hardworking East Lambton team 6-4 in the finals to claim the title.

#Redhats off to all the teams’ supporters for travelling from near and far to cheer them on.

This championship was the culmination of an amazing season were the team finished with an outstanding record of 50-6-4 including winning the Tillsonburg C tournament and the Belle River BB tournament.

The Championship run can best be described as a “ride to the top of the escalator”. Congrats you did it!!

The Timbits Sports Program is a community-oriented sponsorship program for children four to eight years old who participate in local house league sports teams. The program's philosophy is not based on winning or losing - but on learning a new sport, making new friends, and just taking time out to be a kid. Tim Hortons currently sponsors over 200,000 children who play on hockey, soccer, lacrosse, t-ball, baseball and ringette teams across Canada and in the United States. Each sponsored team is supplied with Timbits Minor Sports jerseys or T-shirts. Timbits hockey teams are often given the opportunity to play on-ice scrimmages during intermissions at Junior, American Hockey League (AHL) and National Hockey League (NHL) games.
