Amalgamation Update-Shared Boundary Pilot
Dear AMHA Members

We are pleased to announce that OMHA has approved, through subcommittee, a Shared Boundary Pilot at the Representative Level between Aylmer Minor Hockey and Belmont Minor Hockey for the 2023-2024 season as both organizations continue to work through the amalgamation process together.

The pilot organization will operate under the banner of East Elgin Minor Hockey and shall compete in the Southern Counties Minor Hockey League. This pilot organization will be classified as a "B" base category from U9MD to U21 age groups.

Aylmer Minor Hockey and Belmont Minor Hockey, respectively, will continue to host Local League teams in their individual organizations competing against each other in the Lambton Middlesex Local League.

Please continue to follow the AMHA website for details and updates as they become available.

A membership vote will be forthcoming to gauge interest from the membership during the pilot.

Any Questions please complete the Amalgamation Q & A form under FAQ on the website.

Sponsors
Tim Hortons
The Timbits Minor Sports Program is a community-oriented sponsorship program for children four to eight years old who participate in local house league sports teams. The program's philosophy is not based on winning or losing - but on learning a new sport, making new friends, and just taking time out to be a kid. Tim Hortons currently sponsors over 200,000 children who play on hockey, soccer, lacrosse, t-ball, baseball and ringette teams across Canada and in the United States. Each sponsored team is supplied with Timbits Minor Sports jerseys or T-shirts. Timbits hockey teams are often given the opportunity to play on-ice scrimmages during intermissions at Junior, American Hockey League (AHL) and National Hockey League (NHL) games.
