Aylmer LL2 Opens Season with a Win on the Road
The Aylmer LL2 Atom Flames travelled to Dorchester on Saturday afternoon and started the season off on the right foot with a big win over the host team.

The game was a closely played affair with each team getting few chances through the first and second periods.  The Flames defense played a great game limiting the Dorchester team to just a few scoring opportunities and the Aylmer goaltenders were able to clean up anything that got through.

The game was scoreless until 14:30 of the third period when Colin Holmes dribbled one through the Dorchester goaltenders pads to give Aylmer the lead.  Not 14 seconds later Rhyan Hewbank made the mesh bulge with Colin Holmes picking up an assist and extending the Flames lead to 2.  The remainder of the game saw a few good scoring opportunities on both sides but no goals as a result giving Aylmer the 2-0 win.  The shutout goes to the team of Graydon Foster and Noah Sleegers.

Great game to start the season.  Aylmer travels to Thamesford next Saturday and then hosts St Marys on the Sunday.

Great group of kids and hockey players.  Looking forward to big things this season.
