Novice LL1 Starts Off On Right Foot
The Aylmer Novice LL1 team started the season on Sunday with a solid 6- 2 win over visiting Belmont.

The Aylmer team had the visitors pinned in their end for most of the game and if not for the Belmont goaltender, who made many spectacular saves, the score would have been much higher.  Gavin Russell had a particularly strong game and started the season off with 5 goals in the game.  Mackenzie Steele also cashed in with a hard drive to the net and pouncing on a rebound.  Many other players had great scoring opportunities but couldn't slip it by the steady Belmont goalie.  Assists in the game went to Thomas Dance, Matthew Worrall and Cory Brubacher.  Noah Sleegers wasn't busy in the net but had to make a few keys saves early in the game to maintain the lead and pickup his first win as goalie.  Congrats to the Aylmer team on a job well done.

Next game is Saturday in Strathroy at 1:30pm.  We should expect a much more difficult game.  Our next home game is this Sunday at 12:00pm against Port Stanley.
