Aylmer Novice LL1 Goes 4-1 to Start Regular Season
The Aylmer Novice LL1 Flames have had a very successful start to the season with the team going four and one and currently on a four game winning streak.

On Sunday, October 11 Aylmer hosted Port Stanley for the first game of the regular season.  The Aylmer team played hard but fell 6-1 to a strong Port Stanley team with a few rep caliber players.  The single Aylmer goal was scored by Gavin Russell with Cater Deutsch picking up an assist.

On Sunday, October 18 Aylmer traveled to Mount Brydges for a game against the Mount Brydges Gold team.  The Aylmer team put in another strong effort controlling the game in the Mount Brydges zone for long periods of time.  Carter Deutsch cashed in with a hat trick with Colin Holmes picking up a single.  Assists went to Gavin Russell (2), Kenzie Steele and Tyler Vis.

Friday, October 23 Aylmer visited Strathroy.  This was a tightly contested game with the Aylmer team having multiple scoring chances to pull ahead but struggling to put the puck in the net.  Both the Strathroy goalie and Aylmer goalie Noah Sleegers made many difficult stops to keep the game close.  Gavin Russell opened the scoring for Aylmer with assists by Kenzie Steele and Colin Holmes.  The score remained tied until 45 seconds left in the game when Colin Holmes was able to poke a loose puck past the Strathroy goalie.  Assists went to Gavin Russell and Thomas Dance.

On Sunday, October 25 Aylmer hosted St Marys #2.  Colin Holmes opened the scoring with his first of three goals two minutes into the game and the Aylmer team never looked back.  The game included hat tricks by Aylmer players Carter Deutsch, Gavin Russell and Colin Holmes.  Additional goals were scored by Thomas Dance (2) and Mathew Worrell.  Assists went to Gavin Russell (2) and Mathew Worrell.

On Saturday, October 31 Aylmer traveled to Mount Brydges to play the Mount Brydges Blue team.  The Mount Brydges team had a 4-1 record at the time of the game and had some very fast skaters. Strong defensive play by Tyler Vis, Cory Brubacher and Mathew Worrell and great goaltending by Noah Sleegers kept them at bay.  Aylmer goals were scored by Colin Holmes (4), Gavin Russell (2) and Mathew Worrell (2).  Assists were by Thomas Dance (4), Colin Holmes, Carter Deutsch, Mathew Worrell and Owen Peters.
